Engaged: Danny & Bria (& Lilly too!)

Last Friday I met up with Danny and Bria to get to know each other better while shooting some great pics at the University of Washington. We’re all three connected to the campus, so it was so much fun exploring and telling stories and reminiscing about our days at the U and living in the U-District. Lilly, their terrier, was so much fun and so adventurous! She spent most of her time in the bushes and chasing ducks on campus when she wasn’t charging my lens! I’m really looking forward to their wedding this summer- I know we’ll have just as much fun if not more!

LMP Blog is Famous… sorta…

Blogs are so popular right now- it’s no wonder. They’re a great way to keep in touch with your clients and friends, show what you’ve been up to, and really add some personality to your website (as a business). I was pleased to hear that Collages.net wanted to feature this blog in an article that they were writing on just that- the benefits of blogging! As you all may know, Collages is my client website company- a.k.a. client proofing. To read the entire article, you can click HERE.

Braden’s Here!

On Friday the 13th I traveled over the water to Kirkland to photograph Braden and his mom Krista. For their baby shower gift, Krista’s co-workers all pooled in on an LMP gift certificate- at first she was thinking of belly portraits, but then, she thought she’d save the session until her first baby was born. Now that Braden’s old enough to have opinions, I’ve learned a few things about him: he loves peaches, hates peas, and loves to screech at the top of his lungs! Here are some of my favorites! (should we call Gerber Corp?)

Happy Earth Day!

A couple of weeks ago one of my best pals, Barbie Hull, and I decided to take a little breather from office work and editing images and taxes and email to go shoot for ourselves. Every year we plan on taking a day trip to Mt. Vernon to shoot the tulips during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, but every year April comes and goes and we just get too busy with the usual hubbub. Finally, after 6 years of saying we’re going to do it and then letting the opportunity slip by, we planned a whole afternoon to drive up to shoot daffodils, tulips, mud, and funny three wheeled tractors that hog the entire road when they pass you! Since it’s Earth Day, here are some of my favorites from this little-mini-day-trip-shooting-excursion!

here’s Barbie shooting across the field…why does she remind me of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz??

the field had flooded and dried so many times that there was a thick layer of this cracked, semi-dry clay on top, sealing air underneath. when we walked on it we literally bounced, like a trampoline! (we’re such little kids sometimes!)
