Another Gorgeous Queensberry Wedding Album

This afternoon I finished up a gorgeous Queensberry & Co. album for Theresa and Justin, who got married just two days before Christmas at the Seattle Waterfront Marriott downtown. We had such a great time depsite the expected Seattle rain, surrounded by wonderful family and friends. And I have to say that to this date, I think Theresa’s gown is my all time favorite- it’s an elegant Monique Lhuillier ivory dress with the most dramatic low back I’ve seen, rouching at the base. The colors for this holiday wedding included accents of gold, so Theresa and Justin chose a show-stopping gold fabric for their album. Here are some images that I took this afternoon.

60/3

Sixty gigabytes in three days. Friday-a very sweet wedding at the Hollywood Schoolhouse with my friends Natasha and Mike. Saturday, a very emotional wedding at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club with Mary and Matt. Sunday (today) a very wet wedding (t minus three hours and counting) at The Hall at Fauntleroy with some out of towners, Nolan and Sarah. I have a blister on my thumb from the grip of my camera, but other than that, GAME ON! It couldn’t be possible without the fabulous help of two of my fabulous assistants, the fabulous Amy and Ashley!! And here’s just one self portrait of the weekend, taken yesterday at the Tacoma CC, by, um, myself! Stay tuned for some really beautiful blog entries and pics chronicling our Memorial Day Weekend!!

Engaged: Natasha & Mike

If you know me, you’d know that I’m REALLY not a morning person. I don’t get up at the crack of dawn for just anyone, but for Mike and Natasha I did. Because they have such crazy work schedules, we had the hardest time ever trying to find a day where they both weren’t working so that we could hang out and do a little photo-date, so we got up super early on Sunday and joined the joggers at Seattle’s Greenlake Park for a quick Getting To Know You Shoot before Mike had to go to work! It was a cold and typical drizzly morning for a Seattle in May, but the weather forcast is nothing but sunshine for their wedding this Friday at the Hollywood Schoolhouse! (oops- I hope I didn’t jinx that!). I’ve known Natasha for, oh, maybe 5 years now, and we met when I was guest teaching at her photography class at Edmonds Community College! I remember her saying that someday, when she met the man of her dreams, I would be the only one to photograph the wedding, and here we are, just days away! I feel so honored that a fellow photographer trusts the most important day of her life to my artistic vision-I simply can’t wait! Here’s a little slideshow of our engagement shoot- is this couple beautiful and in love or what!

Engaged: Hannah & Craig

It is pouring so hard outside right now- it’s hard to imagine that just the other day I was at the arboretum in Seattle with Hannah and Craig in the gorgeous sunshine. It was a great preview of summer-warm afternoon, lots of wild animals (and a crazy curious black and orange bird), gorgeous sunshine, and a great walk through one of our city’s greatest parks. They had driven through the gorgeous area a few times, but this was the first time they parked their car and explored, taking me along. I have the pleasure of photographing Hannah and Craig’s wedding this summer on probably this century’s most sought after wedding date, 7.7.07. They’re planning a sweet and intimate celebration on a private bluff on Camano Island- I can’t wait. Here are a few images from our Getting To Know You Shoot last week!
