Cupcake Thursday…and a Baby!

This week’s installment of Cupcake Thursday showcases Trophy’s Mexican Hot Chocolate Cupcake, presented and taste-tested by the lovely Liliana. Lili and her momma Michelle follow Cupcake Thursday RELIGIOUSLY, so they were all in for our last outing! This special addition cake is available only during Cinco De Mayo, and is a force to be reckoned with.  Boasting a spicy cayenne kick after a hint of cinammon atop the luxurious bittersweet chocolately base, you definitely need a big glass of milk for this one!

p.s. no babies were harmed in the process of this cupcake tasting. Lili LOVES spicy :)  She also loves eating cupcakes with a spoon.  Have you ever heard of such a thing!

Laurel - Christine- our local cupcakerie, Trophy, has THE cutest old fashioned shop- they have a few "regular" flavors and then have features every day of the week! Add in a few seasonal treats (like Guiness for St. Patty's or Mexican Chocolate for Cinco de Mayo) and boom! Yum! There are a ton of great cupcake bakers in Seattle... if anyone has a new fav let me know and we'll feature their cakes next!

Candice (Artemis Clover Photo) - Oh my goodness! I just saw your comment on my cupcake post and this is too funny! Do you make the cupcakes or do you buy them? I started Cupcakes with Candice with the intent of decorating them myself but cleaning a piping bag is just too messy!
